Nikhil Deshpande

Nikhil heads the Office of Digital Services (DSGa) under the Georgia Technology Authority. He ensures state information and services are digital, user-friendly, and accessible. Under his direction, Georgia became the first state in the US to use enterprise Drupal and meet special needs of constituents with a range of disabilities. Nikhil also pioneered Georgia's use of social media for citizen engagement.

Previously in advertising, he holds dual master’s degrees in Visual Communications and Interaction Design. As an adjunct faculty for SCAD Atlanta, he taught Interaction Design and won numerous national and international awards in digital government, including Atlanta’s 40 under 40. Nikhil is also on the marketing committee of the Promote Drupal initiative.
