Innovating the Housing Circular Economy Through Data Visualization

In this session, we’ll show the power of Drupal in making data more accessible so that it can drive better decisions in the housing industry. 

Researchers at McGill University’s School of Architecture were looking for a way to show builders, architects, policy makers, and the public how to use data about existing housing projects to drive better decision-making.

The result is the Data Homebase project, which harnesses generated data from millions of property listings to facilitate informed decision-making. We’ll show how we took these goals and designed a tool to promote the circular economy in housing by visualizing the environmental sustainability impact of different building materials and design choices.
